Did you see this story from the Miami Herald this week? An 11-12 foot alligator was found in a newly built home in a community near Ft. Myers. The bizarre news was reported by the man who was installing window blinds. I can’t even imagine walking into a newly constructed home and seeing a large alligator lying there.

They say he entered the home through a laundry room door while seeking shelter from the cold. He was most likely scared when he was trapped because he couldn’t find his way out.

They eventually got the alligator out of the home, but you never know what you’re going to find in a home in Florida!

Note to self: be prepared for anything when looking at a house.
